Right below the 5.25″ bay is a 3.5″ hard drive bay and as you will notice, there are no actual hard drive cages elsewhere. One thing that I do find a bit odd is that they have still included a 5.25″ bay on the inside and while some may argue this is to keep the cables from the front panel out of the way, there surely could have been a better way to do it in my opinion. There seem to be plenty of cable management pass-through holes which is always great to see and looks like there should be a fair amount of room for dual GPU and longer GPU setups. Getting our first glimpse at the inside of the case and it doesn’t look to bad from this angle, aside from that top mounted PSU ( Sorry I just can’t let that go ). We also have the 4x feet to help raise the case up off the floor though as the PSU is top mounted, it’s not an overly big deal with the SPITZER 22. On the bottom, we can see some holes which appear to be for mounting a hard drive of sorts onto the floor of the case. *Update* We have been informed that the Card reader is mostly for OEM customers and if desired, end-users can request these feature from X2 as well. Over to the right of the power buttons are the 2x USB 3.0 ports and the frony panel audio inputs. To the left of those is what appears to be a pair of slots for a card reader, though no card reader is supplied with the case or mentioned anywhere on the products page that I noticed. Towards the front in the centre, we can see two buttons which are the power and reset buttons. The top of the case actually looks quite nice with its curves and ventilation area. On the back, we have the top-mounted PSU cutout, rear motherboard IO cutout space to mount an exhaust fan and 4x PCI expansion bays. The other side panel is plain black and as you can see, both side panels feature a bit of a raised out area which on this side will surely come in handy for cable management when the time comes. The specifications page does mention “Optional acrylic side panels” but again, there are no images of the standard version as seen below. The main issue I have is there is no image showing this side panel on their website which can be a bit deceitful, even if not totally on purpose. I would have loved a window here as I like to show off the builds on the inside. However, as you can see, our sample doesn’t have any window which is really a shame. Looking at the product page and the images there show that there is a nice windowed side panel, which still features the same fan vent area as seen below. This is where things start to get a little odd. The front of the case is easily taken off and will allow users access to the mounting screws for the include intake fans. I haven’t used an Optical drive in at least 6 years and even on my laptop, I have taken it out and replaced it with a spare storage hard drive. One thing I was quite surprised and pleased to see is the fact there is no 5.25″ drive bay on the front panel. Starting off with the front, there is a very shiny black mirror finish with a small X2 logo in the top left.

However, I must state I am not happy to see a top mounted PSU cutout, this is something I had pretty much forgotten even existed as I thought we in the PC Gaming/Enthusiast communities had pretty much forbidden it. On first look, the SPITZER 22 looks to be an OK little M-ATX case. The SPITZER 22 features a top mounted PSU cutout, support for M-ATX and M-ITX motherboard and our sample came with 2x pre-installed front-mounted intake fans. Purchase on Amazon UK: £49.95 At the time of reviewĪs mentioned, today we are looking at the SPITZER 22 PC Case which is designed for M-ATX builds.Today marks the start of our relationship with X2 and we hope to get things off to a good start.
